The debt story that explains how and why Lord Vishnu must borrow money from Kubera.

For a specific offering, Sage Bhrigu was once tasked with choosing the most deserving god from the trimurti of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Bhrigu went to see Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva, but he did not think they were appropriate. He found Lord Vishnu sleeping with his wife Laxmi when he went to see him. Sage Bhrigu became furious when he saw this and struck Lord Vishnu on the chest with his foot.

Lord Vishnu quickly realised his mistake and offered a sincere apology. Sage came to the conclusion that Lord Vishnu is the most deserving god among them all. But because Lord Vishnu's chest was her home, Goddess Laxmi was upset by Sage Bhrigu's behaviour. After departing from Lord Vishnu, she travelled to Earth. She was nowhere to be found despite Lord Vishnu's search.

As the result, Lord Vishnu was born as Srinivasa, the son of Vakula Devi. Mata Yashoda took the form of Vakula Devi. She was upset in that life since she didn't get to witness Lord Krishna get married. She was given a blessing by Krishna and reincarnated as Vakula Devi. Additionally, Laxmi was born as Padmavati.

When Padmavati was a young, she first encountered Saint Narada. He revealed that she was meant to be Lord Vishnu's wife. Princess Padmavati and her maids were present when the elephant led the man into the yard. They were terrified, as was their Princess at the sight of the elephant. The elephant quickly turned around, saluted Lord Srinivasa, and departed into the forest as soon as he appeared in front of it. Princess Padmavati caught Lord Srinivasa's attention, and he inquired about her from her servants. He soon told Vakula Devi that he was Lord Vishnu and that he had a wish to marry Padmavati.

Vakula Devi soon approaches Padmavati's father with a request to marry her son, Lord Srinivasa. The two avatars' wedding invitation was written by Bhrihaspati, her father's counsellor and himself a king.

To secure their approval for His marriage to Princess Padmavati, Lord Srinivasa convened a meeting of the gods. In order to pay for the wedding and to show that he was wealthy, he acquired a sizable loan from Lord Kubera, the Hindu deity of riches. He promised Kubera that the loan would be repaid in full, with interest, by the conclusion of the Kaliyuga. Therefore, when a devotee makes an offering at the temple of Balaji, he seeks to aid the Lord in his search for loan repayment and he is never sent away empty-handed. Devi Laxmi also forgave Sage Bhrigu.

Mahalaxmi soon descended from heaven, and she was appalled to learn that Lord had remarried. Lord turns into a stone as he sees her. Later, this stone was found, and the location was turned into a temple for Lord Venkateshwara. This location is linked to Lord Vishnu's Varaha avatar, and Tirupati is home to the revered Varaha Shrine.

Lord Vishnu wished to live in Tirumala Hills during the Kaliyuga and aid humanity, which is the purpose of the entire tale. Mahalaxmi and Padmavati are on his decorations.
